Memorial weekend was spent at Innsbrooke. We got to spend all Friday evening with Brooke's Grandma & Grandpa Johnson and Saturday was spent with all of the Johnson family. We had lots of fun and got lots of sun :) We are all looking forward to heading back (and soon) to get to use the pool, basketball courts (dad), tennis courts (dad again) and the sandy beach area (mom).

We headed back home on Sunday which ended up being a good thing since both Sunday & Monday were filled with rain. We decided we had to get out of the house on Monday, though, and headed to the Magic House with Aunt Maggie. This was Brooke's 2nd time going to the Magic House and I think that she had a WAY better time. She was much more outgoing and wanted to try almost everything. My only complaint is to the parents that allow their 7 + year old children play in the under 24 months play zone. What is the sign there for people?? Give the little ones a small area without the big kids toppling over them! Brooke is just trying to crawl on the toys and she has a 7 year old girl tapping her foot in frustration-seriously?? Do you really think that the multi-colored tunnel was that fun for her?? Some things I just don't understand...

Slides-by far- are Brooke current favorite.

In Cinderella's carriage.

The day ended with ice cream where I truly feel that we were overcharged. I mean, I ordered Brooke the kids cone which cost $0.49. Maggie and I received the exact same cones (size, flavor, etc) and were charged over $3.00!! What, may I ask, made the price jump $2.50?? The word small vs. kiddie?? I will be picking up my soft serve from my local McDonalds from here forth were everyone receives the $0.99 cone no matter your age.
In other news, we broke the 200 day mark with the new baby on the way and the countdown continues! According to my weekly emails (yes I receive them) the baby should be around the size of a lime or 2 inches long. I will know more in the coming weeks as I have another u/s coming up the first week of June-can't wait. Not too long now until we know if Brooke is going to have a little bro or a little sis! Speaking of which...I attempted to tell Brooke over the weekend that mom had a little baby in her tummy. Brooke currently LOVES babies and LOVES telling/showing us her tummy (and then wanting to see everyone else's). What better timing I thought-WRONG. She was either completely disturbed or highly confused because she pulled my shirt right down and screamed NOOOO....could this be a bad sign???
