133 days!

This week I am going to go with Babycenters comparison vs. The Bumps. They say baby boy is the size of a carrot...pretty similar to last weeks banana I guess :). 

No doctors appointments this week or ultrasounds ..those will have to wait until week 24. Very happy to be this far along and still experiencing a healthy pregnancy. If I was going to complain at all, though, which of course I never do...I have to say that leg cramps...especially at night...are awful! I also had to increase my heparin shots to 4 a day...532 to go!!

In other news, we actually got out of the house this weekend..twice! Gary had his company's holiday party on Friday night downtown. We had a great time...even if one of us was in bed at 10:30...which is so past my bedtime :). The only downside es missing Dateline ..hope it was a repeat. We also found out that Gary won another trip to Mexico through his company's work!! He works so hard and I am very proud of him. We will not be able to go, though, since I don't think I would be super fun in Mexico at 36 weeks prego ...in a swimsuit ..there's a visual right??

Gary finished his first home project..a cubbyhole shelf for Caroline's room. All that is left to do is sand and paint and then I will post a picture. Next will be the built-in shelves in the family room and getting baby boys room somewhat ready....

(What the weather)
OK. Not a huge fan of what went down last night. I mean...where is the quiet snowfalls that January should bring?!  It is not cool to turn the tornado sirens on..freak me out...get my kiddos in the basement ..only to discover we are already out of the tornado threat. At least one of the girls slept through the chaos. Caroline, on the other hand, was scared silly and could not fall back to sleep. She ended up on the floor of our room. And..just when you think its all over, your given a 5 am wake up call of hail! Perfect. I need some caffeine. I love the random warm temps but this better not mean snow for Easter.

Boy or Girl?

Our world is about to be rocked....a little baby BOY is on the way and we couldn't be more excited!!! Now...if this angry cervix would just behave and let me get back to my routine we would be perfect.

Almost forgot.....but I am only doing these 'monthly' updates for 3 more months!

I cannot believe that Caroline will be two in just 86 short days!

At 21 months, Caroline is one busy girl. She is always on the move...getting into something (usually the pantry or freezer...has to maintain that 95%!). She is officially in a toddler big girl bed and loves it-especially the pillow. She has also learned that she can get out of this bed and loves to pile all of her babies/books/toys in there with her at nap time. Luckily she forgets this ability come bed time and stays tucked inside all night.

She is becoming more and more verbal. I can understand her completely..but we are working on the outside world understanding what "daba, daba, daba" actually means. She refuses to say Brooke and Caroline. I feel that this is more to spite me (since I want her to so bad) then not actually being able to say these names.

Caroline loves to take her clothes off. It has happened more then once, and really more then twice in public. The other day, while at my work, she left to help my mom in the warehouse and only moments later, appeared without her dress. I am not sure who to say she takes after...but I am going to go with Aunt Maggie.

She is getting better and better at being away from me. While I love it...it makes me a bit sad. I checked on her (in secret of course) at the YMCA the other day and she was having a great time! Was not even looking for me at all. Totally fabulous...but growing up :( Brooke has been in pre-school for 2 days now and I am loving our one-on-one time together. I think that she is too..it is all about her after all!!

All in all...I think that this is my favorite stage. But...it does make me miss the baby stage. Can you say Baby Fever???!!! It is in full effect I think. Caroline would make a cute big sister right?? :)

Preschool

Today was Brooke's first day of preschool!! She is so big right?? I was a bit misty eyed the other day thinking about her being in school 3 days a week, but today we all held it together. Maybe it was the fact that we were rushing around...not used to this school schedule stuff!!
