No longer a Perfect Record
Today it finally happened-my almost 12 year long record was broken...I got a speeding ticket. No, I didn't get pulled over. That would not have been blogged about because I am sure I would still be crying..I am pathetic when it comes to authority. When I got home from work today, there was a lovely envelope waiting for me. Honestly, it caught me off guard at first. What would I possibly be getting from Creve Coeur Municipal Courts?? Who is suing me??!! Nope. A $100 ticket for running a red light. They provided a few pictures to prove it-thanks officer/camera. So folks...running errands on Olive rd...slow it down...they are watching...

YO Gabba Gabba!
Tonight we all went over to my parents house to celebrate Amy's 30th Birthday! Her actual b-day doesn't happen until the 12th, but since it falls on Easter, we thought we would get a jump start to the festivities. Amy has continuously been mentioning that what she really wants for her birthday is a Yo Gabba Gabba hat-if you don't have kids and have not seen this show...well, click here :) It's pretty crazy...Anyways, they now sell DJ Lance's hat a glasses and hat and both my mom and I got one for Amy today (don't worry, she is only keeping one). We all had a blast trying it on and dancing to the Yo Gabba Gabba jams...I think Amy may have had the best birthday ever!

Craft Show Madness
Amy did her first craft show today for jack n' beans. I also went to the craft show to help out because I am an awesome person and and even more amazing sister. Overall, I think that we did a slammin' job! Tons of business cards were taken, sales were made, and compliments were given. It was a long day but we had a good time. One of the highlights:
Customer: We have a ladies golf event coming up and the theme is Tee Off. I love these hats with the golf club on them. Can you put them on anything else??
Amy: Sure, I can put them on anything!
Customer: Even these panties (i.e. light blue boys shorts displayed with "I do" in our bridal section)
Amy: Yep-how about 'Tee This!" referencing to her own backside...
Customer: (Red face and giggle)....
Amazing right?? Guess you had to be there....
I cannot wait to attend my next craft show with Amy where we will probably double our sales :)

Swimsuit Season
Amy and I decided to hit up Target and get the ladies some new swim suits. Amy was a bit concerned with the size for Lily, but I think that she made the right decision. Brooke's is a little big on top, but she can pull it off. I am planning on a long swimsuit season this summer spending lots of time at Innsbrooke.
Check out Brooke's new wheels! She was so excited to get her very own 'ride.' Yet another great find on Craigs List. Lil's wanted to take the convertible for a ride and Brooke decided to share for a bit.

Let's call this the 'before' picture. With only one car in the Kaller backyard (before retrieving the convertible from my own car) Lily and Brooke were NOT into sharing their mini van. I tried to throw Brooke in the back seat but she was NOT having it! She was throwing some major crying fits.
Lily on the other had-totally cool in the back seat...just not very comfortable....

I am down to only looking for one more item on the "LIST." Once I find a pinic table my search will be complete! I think that I am addicted...

Why I love Craigs List
Enough about that, though, let's discuss why I love Craigslist and why I am the best mom ever today. I have been wanting to get Brooke something-anything to play with in the back yard. Apparently going outside and kicking a ball or chasing the dog just wasn't cutting it. I was getting desperate to the point that I was just going to go to Toys R Us and buy whatever was in stock. Then today-Craigslist had a TON of posting of little kids outdoors toys! Jackpot. Before the day was through, Brooke was sitting pretty on her new slide. She almost forgot about those rich Kaller kids is O'Fallon with their fancy swingset.

St. Pat's Day
Happy St. Patrick's Day! How many adult men did you see wearing kilts today? Brooke and I saw only one (how disappointing!). While driving around town today we saw a man in a kilt with a green hat attempting to have passerby apply to live in an apartment complex. Seriously-who thought of that advertising technique?? Do the owners think that I will make a sharp turn and rent there? By the looks of it their social life must be amazing! (Side note: If you have ever looked into renting an apartment, why do they always talk about their "social life" there? Do a lot of people rent apartments in the hope of meeting the love of their life or their new best friend?? I find it so odd....). I hope that we see the Easter Bunny there next month :)We also wore no green today. In fact, Brooke wore orange. When we stopped by my work, my co-workers were shocked that I had not purchased some green attire for Brooke and that I would put her in orange on St. Pats! Apparently that is the worst color to wear today. Apparently some people started to wear orange on St. Patrick's to demonstrate their defiance (Google it). I hoped we don't get jumped at Target or something...maybe we will stay home for the remainder of the day.

ramblings....
Brooke went to the dentist for the first time today. I know it may seem really early, but she has this bizarre tooth in her mouth that I was a little concerned about. The tooth coming in directly to the right of her front tooth is split in two pieces. It is not split all the way to the gum, but enough that I noticed and was wondering what was going on. The dentist was SO nice and I highly recommend their office (314-965-7630-in Kirkwood). Apparently it is not too uncommon and we just have to wait until she is older to see what happens. The permanent could come in normal, or their may not be a permanent tooth at all!!! The other possibilty is that two teeth come in. If that is the case, we will make her join the circus to bring in some additional money. The odds on it will be normal. They did let me know that I could have it filled when she is older for her school pictures...Not that I asked....

She's a...slave...for you...
Brooke decided to get into Bella's toys this morning. For some reason, there is one in particular that she is a huge fan of. I'm sorry, but I couldn't help laughing when the first image that popped into my head was from the MTV Video Awards circa 2001. What do you think??

Yea, I agree-Brooke looks the best. I guess I know what we are going to be for Halloween :)

Getting Better

I feel like we have been hit hard this season. We have all three battled colds and the flu and this past week/weekend two of us got strep throat. Seriously. Who get's strep throat when you are not in high school and at least then (if your me) it is more dramatic and is mono. I think that when I was in high school I actually thought that it was pretty cool when I had mono. I don't know why...was it because I got to take tests at home or because I thought I maybe I would loose a few pounds.......but I digress. I got the dreaded virus last Wednesday and Gary followed by Friday night. I started feeling like myself again by Saturday, Gary was still on the mend as of this evening. Brooke (and I am currently knocking on solid, solid wood) has been an All Star and has maintained her health. I almost wish the doctor would just give her the meds as a precaution! After all, my sister, nephew, niece and mother all had strep too!! **we do things well as a family** So, this weekend was a wash and Gary and I actually had plans (with a babysitter) to do a Trivia Night with friends. I am sure they did well without us, but we were looking forward to the night. There is always next time...
By the way-has anyone out there ever watched The Wiggles?? Brooke watched the Netflix (which we are getting free through Gary's XBOX Live...for a limited time-so economic chic) video this weekend (on Nursey Rhymes) and was dancing and bobbing her head like a mad woman!! Then Tracie told me that they sing a song about fruit salad. What??? This I am going to have to hear! I can just see Gary and me exchaning our John Mayer or Coldplay concert tickets in for The Wiggles and/or WonderPets Live on Ice! Those also make for fabulous God Parent activities...
