This weeks post have pretty much been Brooke centered. Well folks, it is time for a Caroline update.
She has had a pretty rough week.
First, while tagging along to Brooke's three year check up, she ended up getting her booster flu shot. The poor girl didn't even see it coming-innocent bystander. Luckily, though, she rocked it-watching her big sister cry crocodile tears she only gave us a smile. She is one tough girl.
Then came Tuesday. As we waiting for Brooke during her dance class, Caroline started acting rather clingy. This is very un-Caroline like. She is
not a snuggler. She started feeling pretty warm too. I thought this may have been a reaction to her booster shot and just enjoyed the cuddling that I never get with C.
By the next day, though, I began thinking that this was not flu shot related. Last night, when her fever spiked to 104.2...to the Hospital we went. After talking to the doctor, he thought it best to get her checked out. After a couple of hours (with Grandma by our side!) we left informed that it was most likely a virus. Motrin / Tylenol / fluids and rest.
When I left for work this a.m., she was still trying to drink her bottle while snuggling on the couch with dad. When I said bye to her, she pulled her blanket over her head to play peek-a-boo (one of her favorites). After a few times, she smiled at me and went back to relaxing with dad.
I think that she is on the mend.
