Caroline's 1st Birthday Party

I think that it is safe to say that Caroline had the BEST 1st Birthday. She was completely spoiled by friends and family and had a smile on her face all weekend long.

We had a low-key celebration on Friday night. Just the four of us. Caroline got an anywhere chair and LOVES it. Brooke loves it too. I guess the cheep-o knock off I got for Brooke's first birthday is paling in comparison to Caroline's real chair. Oh well.

The celebrations continued on Saturday. We had our immediate family over for pizza and cake and (again) Caroline was all smiles having a GREAT time. Our FL Flemings and OH Johnson girls were missed :( We can't wait for them all to see our big 1 year old at Christmas!

Another sensational cake from Celebrating Life!

Best pal Caden!!! Looking forward to his FIRST birthday in less then a month!

Caroline wasn't quite sure what to think of everyone singing to her..but she was totally into the cake. Like...SHE LOVED the cake.

It was at this point that we had to take away the cake and give her just a small piece to enjoy :)

Too bad this cake party led to MANY wake up's throughout the night. Maybe a huge sugar rush is not what a one year old's stomach needs. Poor girl (and poor Gary)!!

Our attempt at a family picture.
Gary covered in cake (following Carolines post-cake bath).

Cinderella (Brooke's 3rd costume of the night), Gary, Me and Caroline.

Our one year old woke up Sunday ready to continue playing!!
Thank you to everyone that celebrated with us...and for all the wonderful cards and gifts for Caroline!! Your are all so thoughtful! She had the BEST weekend ever!!

Caroline is ONE

Seriously.

Can you believe it??

The longest pregnancy ever...filled with worry...and ended with a perfectly healthy little girl.

Who is absolutely adored.

Time to take that lovely stroll down memory lane :)

 Welcome Caroline!!

1 Month-Who's excited??

2 Months-showing off that killer smile that she would flash constantly..still does.

Month 3-someone is filling out :)

 Month 4

 Month 5-obviously a messy eater

 Month 6-enough said.

Month 7-a favorite picture and quite the Grandpa's girl

 Month 8

 Month 9-Happy and drooly

Month 10-and starting to look like a little toddler :)

Month 11-lots of teeth, laughs and smiles :)

  • You are doing so much at 1 year. You can say lots of words like "ma ma" , "da da" , "na na" (banana), "hi" , and "bye." I think that Brooke is ready to hear her name, but that could be awhile.
  • You are a FULL TIME walker and are rarely on the floor crawling anymore. This makes me both happy and a little sad. You are quite the funny girl-always laughing and smiling...even when your sister knocks you down because you are walking (apparently she thinks that this is a 'problem' instead of a milestone).
  • We are still working on the sleeping. I know, I know, she is one years old and should be sleeping through the night without problem. In all fairness, her sister didn't sleep through the night until 15 months-we are crazy I know. This will be one of the items we discuss with our favorite doctor next week.
  • Your favoite game are peek-a-boo and SO BIG. You cannot get enough. You have also developed a love for your white blanket and I am so glad I know feel a-o-k letting you sleep with it at night.

Caroline, your an amazing little girl and we LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! We have had the BEST year with you and cannot imagine our lives before you. Brooke better watch out. Your well on your way to chasing her down and knocking her over soon :) We cannot wait to see what year two has in store for us all. Love you Monkey!!!

Party Time!!

The reception was nothing less then spectacular.

My cousin (and her fam) love Disney...but not in a bizarre way...in a FABULOUS way. I have always been a bit jealous of their ear collection.

Disney was sprinkled throughout the service and reception and it was the perfect touch for this couple.

Did I mention that they played, "Be Our Guest" as dinner was served?? You can only imagine how excited Tracie, Maggie, Amy, Me, Brooke & Lily were when A Rockin' DJ played that song. Throughout dinner, they would suddenly play a Disney classic (i.e. A Whole New World, Kiss the Girl, etc) and a certain table would squeal with delight.

 It.Was.Awesome.

It wasn't long before the girls hit the dance floor. The busted out moves pre-salad and were having the time of their lives. If it was socially appropriate, I think a few of us would have joined in.

The Hava Nagila is always a hit...

Especially when grandma joins in the fun...

Twisting with Grandpa like no ones business....you have to learn from the BEST.

And we are spent...

 Maybe not!!!
*PS...is that Maggie with a Bud Select??

On to the Wedding...

The wedding was on Saturday and began at Graham Chapel.
Brooke was SO excited to put on her flower girl dress. She thought that I had lost it as she had been searching the house for weeks!!

It took a little bit of time to get her to warm up to the camera....she had fallen asleep on the way there and wasn't totally ready for her close up. After awhile, though, she was all about the lens and I think that the photographer took at least 100 pics of both Brooke & Caroline. I cannot wait to see the professional shots.

The little bride (as she called herself) and the actual bride....who looked AMAZING.

Jack, throwing it up for the picture.

I know, I know...the best shot I got of them walking down the aisle.

SO SAD!

A man was taking pictures in front of my camera and the lighting was no good for mine. Waiting on those professional pics...but let me tell you-they DID GREAT!! I was so proud of Brooke!!!! She smiled and walked slow and held both Jacks hand and her bouquet of flowers. The perfect flower girl...let me know anyone is in need because I think that she is ready for more 'gigs.'

Another cutie was showing off her mad walking skills pre-wedding. I think that C was trying to convince us that it would be totally cool to let her come to the reception. We couldn't be fooled though. Once she knew the game was up, she screamed (in the basement of the chapel) the remainder of the service.

If your not a flower girl what do you wear?? Matching dresses of course :)

I couldn't fit all of the pictures from the wedding in one post-not possible.
TBC.
