Fun, fun weekend!!

What a fun filled weekend the Flemings had! On Saturday, Gary, Brooke and I attended my first "Mom's in the City" event at the pumpkin patch! Brooke was in awe of all of the orange. I think that she had a pretty good time and she loves, loves, loves to people watch so she was in heaven with all of the kids running around! We bought her a few small pumpkins-her first ever!

I don't know how much she liked it when I dropped her off amongst all of the pumpkins-a little overwhelmed I think!! I was going for the picture op!

This weekend was also a celebration of my friend Lindsay's birthday. Gary and I went out to dinner with Lindsay, her husband Craig and their friends. A great time was had by all..I think that I was starting to get a little tired, though :)

Also...HUGE NEWS...Brooke finally got two more teeth! I think that I can call it official since her top left tooth as well as her bottom left (next to her two middle) have broken through!!! I think that the worst has passed...for these teeth at least. She is also walking a TON more and therefore keeping Gary and I very, very busy!

I hope that everyone's week is off to a great start!

Still Waiting...for the teeth...

How long does this teething process take??!! When my niece Lily gets into her teething vibe, she will cut that tooth (in her case those 14 teeth!) in a day or so. Brooke, on the other hand, starts to teeth and the process takes weeks! I feel so, so bad for her!! I am hoping that these 4 teeth will break through in the next 1-2 weeks. I can seriously see the 4 teeth (two front on the top and the two side on the bottom) right below the gums...maybe she has really thick gums and it takes a lot of work to break through the surface...thoughts??!!!

In other Brooke news, yesterday I took Brooke to Laurie's (best shoe store in St. Louis-just a shout out to the Waldman Family!!) to get her feet measured. I had kind of been guessing on her shoe size and I thought that I better figure out exactly what size her little tootsies where. I was thinking that she may be a size 3 or perhaps a 3Wide. Well, I could not have been MORE wrong!! Brooke seems to have a 4 1/2 size foot-doesn't that seem huge??!! She also may have a bit of an issue with the shape of her feet. The insole of both of her feet seem to not only go inward, but outward a bit too-odd sounding huh?? The next time that we go to the pediatrician (which will be next month) I will just have to discuss this with him to see if this 'issue' will self-correct or if she is going to have to wear orthopedics and/or braces for awhile...I am so hoping for self-correction. She just started learning how to walk (and she is only 11 months-TODAY!) so my gut reaction is self-correction. I brought Brooke into my work after the 'diagnosis' and I had one of my aunts take a look since she has experience in the shoe industry and she agrees with me.

Of course I called my dad to let him know of his grand-daughters day and he thought that I was over-reacting..."Kelly, she hasn't even gotten all of her teeth yet, I don't think that you need to worry about braces at this point." I guess most of my conversations lately have been about Brooke's teeth...don't worry, I haven't called the orthodontist just yet (but so something that I would do..).

In other news, yesterday Brooke and I decided to have a surprise visit to Great-Grandma Meiners house! It was so fun to see Brooke's Great-Grandma and Brooke got to show off her walking and talking skills. We think that she was very impressed! Brooke shares a birthday with her Great-Grandpa Meiners which we all view to be so, so special since he is no longer with us. It will be something very special that we will be able to tell her when she is a bit older :) Thanks for having us Great-Grandma and it was so fun to see you and Great-Aunt Diane too!!!

Check out the sweet all white, old school nursing shoes that Brooke has-your all totally jealous right?? We sooo prefer our cool Pumas from Aunt Bethany!

Brooke-working the MIZZOU top and Jeans-and playing with a piece of wood...don't you wish that your life was that simple and that you were so easily entertained???

Birthday Party Weekend

This weekend was Brooke's very good friend Lauren's 1st Birthday Party!! We had such a fun time celebrating Lauren's big day!!!

Lauren-the big 1 Year Old on her new toy-she loved riding around the yard all night long!!

Brooke having a great time at the party-drooling all over her self...

On Sunday, my sister Amy was kind enough to host a Chez Ami party at her house for Lindsay and me. We had a great time with family and friends! There were so many kiddos that were able to come!! The only bad side of the day was that miss Brooke has been cutting 4 teeth (yes, all at once) hard-core since Saturday morning. The poor thing wanted to play and have fun but was in so much pain!! We are hoping and hoping that the teeth will break through in the next few days!!

Lily doesn't let a little spit up get in her way-she loves the slide!!

Brooke-finally taking a breather and napping off that teething pain...poor baby!!!

My incredibly kind and generous friends

Brooke is one of the luckiest children that I know! Her very, very generous and kind Aunt Marci and Aunt Bethany have spoiled her this past week. She is all set to walk in style and be dressed for the Fall! Look at the adorable clothes and shoes that they gifted Brooke with!! Pictures are to come of Brooke styling her new outfits!
Adorable sweater and corduroy combo-cannot wait for Brook to wear to the pumpkin patch next weekend! Hopefully the weather will stay a little cool!

Matching shirt to wear with cords!
Brooke has to accessories with her hair bows-now we can do pig tails! No, I am not kidding and the way that hair is coming in..she is totally ready for it!
OK-seriously!! Have you ever seen such ADORABLE shoes!!! I mean, these are so incredibly cute! Thank you so, so much Aunt Bethany! You have such taste! These are great for Brooke to start walking in and oh so stylish!

Gary, Brooke and I are so lucky to have such generous friends-what fun surprises this week!!!

Trouble with Two's!

I don't know how moms out there do it with two. I tried my best today-and succeeded although tired and very hot -to manage Brooke and Lily at both Target and Petsmart. They girls did ok,but they really wanted to be watching one another the entire time they were riding in the cart-a problem when you have them both forward facing. We finally got out of both store accomplishing the tasks at hand-birthday gifts and food for Bella. What a day huh?? We picked up Jack at Day Care and came straight home-no way was I ready to attempt going out in public with three!! Today is my last day watching all three kids at once. I have decided to go back to work an additional day (3 weekdays and my Saturday shift) and my sister Amy has generously volunteered to watch Brooke for me while I am at work M, T, and Th. My mother-in-law is still graciously helping me out on Friday's. Brooke and I will have Wednesday's for play-dates, errands and just mommy and me time which I am thankful for. I am still staying 'part time' in the sense that I can take a day off when I need to which is also a good thing-I am looking forward to the new schedule-but will miss the three kids too....
Brooke's Uggs fit her too!!! I don't know how much she likes walking in them, though.

No, she has never been to NYC-so not a clue if she really 'loves' it, but hey-Old Navy was having a sale...

Good times with a little Rock Band

This weekend, Gary and I got out of the house on Saturday night and went to a BBQ at our friend Sean's house-hosted also my my good friend Marci. Thanks so much for having us! We had a great time playing Rock Band-well Gary had a great time, I was boo'ed off the stage after my incredibly sad performance on the drums. Sean and Marci also stopped by on Saturday to see Brooke-she was pumped! We got in a few pictures, but Brooke would rather not sit still anymore and just walk everywhere..!

Hanging out with Aunt Marci who gave me the most fabulous outfit!! She is such a nice friend and surprised Brooke with a new Fall outfit that we are planning on wearing to the pumpkin patch next weekend!! Don't worry, many pictures will be taken!!

You cannot tell in this picture, but Brooke was totally all about Sean. She walked right up to him and did the 'pick me up' cue which he totally picked up on. She was quite content hanging out with him-even though the look on her face is interesting in the picture! Maybe it is because we caught her with a new man...I'm sure Marci is extremely jealous...

Lindsay and I also had our first Chez Ami party this weekend! We were so excited that our friends came to the party and some kiddos even made it to the bash! It was so fun to chat with the ladies and watch all of the kids play together-of course the one time I don't have my camera ready...I will be ready for this weekend at my sisters house where I think kiddos are coming too!!

Firsts

Since Brooke took her first steps this week, I thought I would also mention a few other 'firsts' that occurred...

Jack had his first ice cream cone! Yes, we know that he is over 2, but come on..the boy was allergic to milk in the beginning! I had the girls all to myself on Wednesday while Jack was at Day Care. He was such a GREAT boy at daycare that I decided after we picked him up that I would treat him to a McDonalds ice cream cone. Well let me just tell you...HE LOVED IT! All the boy could say was, "yuuummmm...so goood Aunt Kelly...!!" I mean, he never even calls me Aunt Kelly???!!! It was so fun I didn't even care that we were in the car and he was totally a disaster!

Another first-my first time driving with more then one kiddo in the car. Yes folks..that is three car seats that you see. Could this be a vision into my future??? I don't know how women out there do it...

Brooke's first guitar lesson. Gary played a ton this week-Thanks Dad! Whenever Gary has to re-string his guitar, though, Brooke has to follow him and watch and try to touch the guitar. We are so luck (knock on wood) that she hasn't broken anything with it yet! She loves to hear Gary practice singing at home-hopefully she has his voice and not mine....

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!
